Economic Development: A Synopsis...For Now

I am not a traditional economic developer or local economic development professional. While I agree that business, government, and the "traditional" elements play a role, I am all about capacity building within a community from the individual, organization, community, and institutional spheres of society. Of course, I believe that before you can move towards any of these improvements, I am an advocate of economic development assessment and evaluation, using various modelling to give a base-line and trending component to any strategic policy direction.
